Older adults and family members often find themselves navigating through a maze of care options. LVOC's bilingual case managers can help identify solutions that help promote independence and well- being. Case managers conduct a home visit and assess the older adultβs abilities, health, home safety and social supports. This assistance is helpful both in a crisis and for long term planning situations.

As we age, keeping up old friendships or making new acquaintances may grow more difficult. Yet having a friend to laugh with or someone to chat with about current events or sports is so important to our health and happiness. LVOC's volunteer visitors and callers are matched with an older adult who would benefit from lively conversation and companionship. Trained and screened volunteers make connections through in-person visits or phone calls.

Las Vegas Okinawan Club will be performing βIchariba Yuiβ at Sanghaβs Obon Festival and Aki Matsuri. Itβs an Okinawan Obon dance with Okinawan music! Very easy! You can also practice at home. Practice Day/Location: Wednesdays at 11:30 am the Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha (4110 N M.L.K. Blvd, North Las Vegas, NV 89032). Las Vegas Okinawan Club's Keiro program offers dependent older adults, a warm, safe and encouraging environment. Our friendly and professional volunteers provide:
- Social interaction
- Assortment of stimulating, structured activities including music, games, art
- Gentle exercise
- Wellness activities, health screening
For families caring for a dependent older relative, can feel confident that their loved one is being cared for in a safe and nurturing setting. Volunteer staff in the Keiro Senior Services program are bilingual (Japanese/English).

Golden Groceries keeps you and your needs in mind to ensure you live a high quality of life with the dignity and respect that you deserve.
Golden Groceries can be found at multiple locations across Southern Nevada. Pantries offering Golden Groceries have special hours and days for you in order to avoid long lines and have a pleasant experience. You choose the food you want based on your needs and wants! Home delivery and curbside options are available.

In celebration, our wellness centers will be hosting FREE "Brunch n Learns" throughout the month on specific topics at our various Neighborhood Hospital Wellness Centers.
The North Las Vegas center will host on Tuesday, February 21st from Noon to 1:00. Brunch will be provided, along with a presentation on the topic "Eating Smart w/ Fruits and Vegetables." If you are interested, please call to register at 702.620.7862.

Cooking Dinner for Families Staying at Ronald Mcdonald House

Las Vegas Okinawan Club members joined Ninth Island Aunties to cook Chicken & Rice dinner for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Las Vegas and donated chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert on March 4, 2023.
Toiletries Drive for Community Outreach at Molasky Park

Las Vegas Okinawan Club donated hygiene items (shampoos, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush and other hygiene items for a community outreach event, Toiletries Drive presented by the Operations Aloha Auction. The items will be distributed to a homeless community on March 18, 2023 at Molasky Park. Thank you for all the donors and partners for collaboration!
